Terms of use
These Terms of Use (hereinafter "Terms") govern access to and use of the Smallprof educational platform (hereinafter "the Service"). By creating an account, you fully accept these Terms.
1. Purpose of the Service
Smallprof is an online educational maths-practice platform for children aged 5 to 14, with progress tracking available to parents. The Service offers several game modes, an adaptive engine, playful rewards and a parent area.
2. Account and legal guardian
The account is created and managed by an adult legal guardian of the child (parent or guardian). By registering, you declare that you:
- are of legal age and the legal guardian of the child or children added to the account;
- provide accurate information when registering;
- are responsible for keeping your credentials and each child's PIN confidential;
- supervise your child's use of the Service.
The creation of a child profile and the collection of the associated data are carried out under your responsibility and with your consent, as the holder of parental authority (see privacy policy).
3. Free trial and subscriptions
The Service offers a free plan and paid plans (Premium, Family). A 30-day free trial may be offered on the paid plans. At the end of the trial, unless a paid subscription is taken out, the account automatically switches to the free-plan limits.
- Current prices are shown on the registration page and in the parent area.
- Subscriptions are commitment-free and can be cancelled at any time from the parent area.
- Payment is processed by our provider Stripe; no full banking data is stored by the publisher.
4. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with the regulations applicable to distance contracts, you generally have a 14-day withdrawal period from subscription. However, as this is digital content supplied immediately, by activating your subscription you expressly request immediate performance of the Service and acknowledge that you waive your right of withdrawal once access is opened, in accordance with French consumer law (art. L221-28 of the Consumer Code). For any withdrawal request made before access is opened, or any question, write to info@smallprof.com.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to access the Service fraudulently or disrupt its operation;
- share your account beyond the family circle provided for by your plan;
- copy, resell or commercially exploit the Service without authorisation.
6. Availability and changes
The publisher strives to ensure the availability of the Service but does not guarantee continuous and uninterrupted access. The Service may change (addition, modification or removal of features).
7. Termination and account deletion
You can delete the family account at any time from the parent area. This action results in the permanent deletion of the associated data (see privacy policy, "Right to erasure" section).
8. Liability
The Service is an educational practice tool. The publisher cannot be held responsible for academic results or for the use made of the Service. Its liability is limited under the conditions provided for by applicable law.
9. Changes to the Terms
The publisher may modify these Terms. Users will be informed of substantial changes. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have jurisdiction. In accordance with applicable regulations, consumers may also use a consumer mediator free of charge.
