1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. Local storage (localStorage) is a similar technology that allows certain preferences to be saved directly in the browser.
2. The cookies we use
Smallprof uses only strictly necessary cookies and storage for its operation. We do not use any advertising cookies or third-party trackers for profiling purposes.
Session cookies (technical)
- PHP session cookie: keeps you logged in (parent or child) while browsing. Duration: the length of the session.
- Language preference: remembers the chosen language. Duration: the length of the session.
Local storage (functional)
- Chosen companion: remembers the character selected by the child (fox, dragon or robot) so it can be found again at the next session.
3. Why we do not ask for cookie consent
The cookies and storage we use are strictly necessary for the operation of the service and for your convenience. In accordance with the regulations, these technical and functional cookies do not require prior consent. We do not place any individual audience-measurement, advertising or social-network cookies.
4. Payment provider cookies
When you make a payment, you are redirected to our provider Stripe, which may place its own cookies necessary for the security of the transaction and the prevention of fraud. These cookies are governed by Stripe's policy.
5. Managing cookies
You can configure your browser at any time to refuse or delete cookies. However, blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login and the proper functioning of the service.
